medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Furta Sacra is the obvious place to start. Also, look at Geary's collection
of essays published in a book called *Living with the Dead in the Middle
Ages*. He has a particularly good piece called "Sacred Commodities: The
Circulation of Medieval Relics" which is reprinted there -- I think its
quite brilliant. The collection is Cornell: 1994.
Also, the other place to start (though it doesn't have a good bibliography)
is Jonathan Sumption's *Pilgrimage: and Image of Medieval Religion* (1977, I
think)
