medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
My name is Ron Ganze, and I've been on this list before, many years
ago. I'm currently finishing my dissertation at Oregon, and need some
help with citation information for the Soliloquia. I have two Latin
editions at hand: the first is the Corpus Scriptorum Ecclesiasticorum
Latinorum, the other the Gerard Watson edition.
Most of the scholarship I've consulted generally has three numbers in
the citation, but I cannot tell from these two editions what those
numbers are. I thought perhaps Book Number, Section Number, Line
Number, but that doesn't always quite work when I cross check the work
itself.
At any rate, is there a commonly accepted method for the Soliloquia, or
other Augustianian works not made clear by the Corpus Chrisianorum series?
Any help would be . . . well, helpful.
Seriously, thanks so much.
