Lee Post from the Pratt Museum in Homer, Alaska is producing
books about articulating animals. Right now he has one on
the Porpoise and the other on Canids. Bear will be out in
March. The books were initially designed for teachers, but
the advantage to zooarchaeologists is that he also gives
hints about separating closely related species, siding the
elements, and he has wonderful pictures of the podials!
That in itself is worth the book. The drawings of the
elements are beautiful. If you would like to order them, the
order forms are at www.akzooarch.org under the "news and
events" tab. Print out the order form and send it with your
check directly to Lee Post.
