story has a happy ending, at least for the time being... Here is a message from

The press have been hotting up the appeal with local and Scottish Press
taking up the story. Scottish TV are also interested... BBC History
Magazine and the IFA archaeologist magazine are also helping. WoSAS put
a
bucket out at a recent conference and raised some cash ... many thanks
....
The Museum is now saved!!!!!! and there was great (and I mean great)
rejoicing in Nokalakevi!!!!
All those who have contributed are thanksed deeply by both the Director
of
teh museum and also the director of teh National Museum of Georgia.

phase 2 is under way and we hope to complete this with a donation to
help in
the recostruction of teh traditional wooden house to turn into a tourist
house and place for visiting specialists to stay.
This will also include showers and running water (a first here!!) and a
fitted laboratory!!
