Euphrates river.

I have seen shark teeth and fossil shells in sites in Israel and now
here in
Portugal. A fossil pygmy hippo bone once turned up on a Neolithic site
in
Cyprus (it seemed too fossilised to be from a contemporary animal) ....
clearly vertebrate palaeontology is a very ancient science.
