Kristina,
Different people interpret design in different ways. I have noticed a
particular difference in interpretation between practitioners and non
practitioners of design. Those with an industry based experience of
practice and curators with an art history background.
Words are a poor tool for interpreting sensorial input and
interpretations based on the users own experiences.

Few disciplines/multidisciplines/subjects/areas are as 'polluted' with
a
vocabulary as murky as that of design. A lot of different
denominations,
notions, adjectives etc are frequently used without much
discrimination. > http://www.ctech.ac.za/polic or call +27 (0)21 460
