Michael Cabana and colleagues measured adherence with asthma guidelines in
children across 7 dimensions. See Cabana MD et al. Reasons for non-adherence
to asthma guidelines. Arch Pediatr Adolesc Med 2001;155:1057-1062. Also

Subject: Measuring Current Clinical Practice
I am part of a team undertaking a project that will include
implementation of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for
management of asthma, bronchiolitis, croup and gastroenteritis across
the Children's Program of Monash Medical Centre, a large tertiary
teaching hospital in Melbourne, Australia.
We would really appreciate your suggestions of tools to measure and
evaluate clinical practice before and after implementation of the
evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
Many thanks,
Tari
