medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Theresa,
In addition to John's citations, you might also try
Folz, R. (1951). Etudes sur le culte liturgique de Charlemagne dans les
Eglises de l'Empire. Paris, Socit d'ditions les Belles Lettres.
This is Folz' earliest publication on Charlemagne, and here he deals
specifically with the spread of the cult,
and you also might try
McGrade, M. 1998. "O Rex Mundi Triumphator: Hohenstaufen Politics in a
Sequence for Saint Charlemagne." Early Music History 17: 183-219, and the
citations therein.
Depending on how far you want to go, I also have notions liturgical texts
and offices from some French mss. Let me know
Sincerely,
Cecilia Gaposchkin
