Greetings,
I am pleased to announce that are still a few positions remaining at the
upcoming Second Annual Evidence-Based Emergency Medicine Conference being
held from May 4-9, 2003. With a focus on small group learning, this
intensive workshop will enhance skills in searching quality online
resources as well as critical appraisal and application of best evidence.
Major highlights:
1. Renowned guest faculty/tutors including Peter Wyer, Stephen Hayden,
Martin Dawes, Martin Labrecque and James Celentano.
2. Unprecedented tutor to participant ratios within small groups consisting
of 8 participants and two tutors.
3. A full slate of medical librarian faculty (using an on-site computer
laboratory with high-speed access) to showcase and teach navigation of
valuable online resources.
4. A beautiful and tranquil setting, the Grand Lodge

Montreal.
5. Advance track for returning participants or participants with an EBM
background.
6. The Users Guides Interactive desktop program
(http://www.usersguides.org/desktop.asp), an innovative, interactive online
web resource developed by the Center for Health Evidence at the University
of Alberta and offered to participants in advance of, during, and for
several weeks after completion of the course.
7. Eligible for 30 hours of Category 1 AMA as well as MOCOMP, MAINPRO MI
and MAINPRO C credits.
