Hi all,
For those who are - also - interested in eGovernment and
standardization.
The Danish State have launched a new initiative regarding metadata and
data-definitions.
The Danish State have opened a repository - and an UDDI - for
standardized metadata and data-definitions. It can be accessed at
isb.oio.dk - all texts are in English.
You can read about the purposes at the "Infosite" - and you can seach
the repository for standardized elements and data-definitions. Search
e.g. "metadata" and search e.g. "address". A metadata-search will give
Dublin Core and Dublin Core based XML schemas as results.
It is also a standardization tool, where standardization groups can
build their own standards e.g. for specific domains by using the
Community-part. And it is possible for other countries - and other
interested - to use this tool for their own standardization purposes -
so you are herby invited! The Community-parts needs password - but it is
easy to get.
Questions are welcome.
Regards
Palle
