The Cambodia Trust, a UK based development organization focusing on the
rehabilitation of people with disability, is recruiting a suitably qualified
person for the post of Country Director.
The scope of work encompasses the management of a creative and highly
motivated Cambodian National and Expatriate team of approximately 100
people. The Cambodia Trust has been operational in country for more than 11
years and has a strong track record in HRD, capacity building and innovation
in the sector.
The Trust operates primarily from three Physical Rehab Centres - Calmette
Hospital, (Phnom Penh), Kompong Chhnang and Sihanoukville. The Rehab
Centres provide Prosthetic, Orthotic, Physiotherapy and Community outreach
to disabled people in those areas.
The Trust also operates and manages, on behalf of the disability sector, The
Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, an Internationally accredited
regional training institute.
The Cambodia Trust is an accredited ISO 9001/2000 organization.
The successful applicant will have:
¨ At least two years experience in program management in a developing
country.
¨ Relevant experience and/or qualification in rehabilitation of
people with disability.
¨ Strong skills in project planning, monitoring and evaluation.
¨ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
¨ Experience or relevant qualifications in quality management
systems.
¨ Excellent skills in proposal and report writing.
¨ Highly developed skills in English language.
¨ Computer and communication technology literacy.
The appointee will be accountable to a UK based board of Trustees and a UK
based executive. S/he will be subject to a six month probation and
performance evaluation.
