I have a sociology PhD student with dyslexia who is starting a research
project about the social identity of people with dyslexia. He is
interested in the extent to which such people identify as 'people with
dyslexia' or indeed 'disabled people'. He will be using qualitative
methodology, especially biographical approaches.
He is currently engaged in a literature review. If people have details
of relevent reading or similar projects, I would be very grateful if you
could email me off list, as pointers will save him much time and
frustration - most of the literature seems to be very
clinical/psychological/neurological/educational, but he is interested in
the social implications.
Thanks
