work

Suggested paper topics:
- gender and the refugee experience
- human security and us-canadian border agreements
- mental health and psycho-social issues in the refugee experience
- displacement in the middle east
- refugee livlihoods
- issues facing refugee families
- legal issues, refugee law and human rights law
- refugees and religion
- regional perspectives on displacement (i.e. south asia, latin america,
central asia)
- refugees and public policy (i.e. detention, interdiction)
- media and refugees
- internally displaced persons, idp and refugee camps
- issues affecting children, youth and aging refugees
*We encourage all students, undergrad and grad students registered in the
CRS diploma program to participate in the conference; students outside York
University are welcome!
