Dear all
I am pleased to announce that planning workshops will be held in London and
Leeds in September for those intending to deliver content projects during
A2A Phase 3 (April 2004 - July 2005). These workshops will focus on the
funding application process under the Heritage Lottery Fund's Your Heritage
scheme for grants of up to £50,000. They are your opportunity to find out
about:
* The wider A2A framework
* Addressing HLF priorities, criteria, and application documentation
* Planning outreach and publicity work
* Presenting clear and accurate budgets
* Tips on bid presentation
The workshops will be facilitated by Alison Berwick, the National Council on
Archives' Archives Lottery Advisor, and Louise Craven and myself from the
A2A Central Team. They will be held on the following dates:
* Thursday 18 September: Yorkshire Archaeological Society, Leeds
* Wednesday 24 September: London Metropolitan Archives, London
Lunch will be provided at both events and they are free of charge: to book a
place, contact my colleague Ray Skilton - email
[log in to unmask] or 'phone 020 8392 5330 x 2124. As
space at each workshop will be limited and places will be allocated on a
first come first served basis, please let Ray know as soon as possible if
you would like to attend. Remember that in order to fit Phase 3 timescales,
bids must be submitted to HLF by the end of December this year, so firm
ideas for potential projects will be most welcome at the workshops.
For background information, see the position statement on developments for
A2A after March 2004 at

the contribution the A2A Central Team will make to project finances, see the
costs and contributions page at

If you have any other questions, please contact me (details below) or Louise

Best wishes
Sarah
