This seminar is part of the ESRC Seminar Series Funded series Analysing
Longitudinal Data -Bridging the gap between methodology and sociological
research.
Three experts in the area of event histories and longitudinal research will
present papers.
Dr Brendan Halpin (University of Limerick) will present a paper on work life
histories and the British Household Panel Survey.
Professor Roger Penn (University of Lancaster) will give a presentation
reflecting on his experiences of collecting and analysing data from the ESRC
funded Social Change and Economic Life Initiative.
Professor Peter Elias (University of Warwick) will present findings from
recent and ongoing research into the early careers of university graduates.
This research makes use of work history information to track and monitor
career paths.
