Dear colleagues,
I sent you a mail about an hours ago. A colleague alerted me that it
contained spelling, grammar and style errors. I apologize that I was too
fast to send it without proper review.
I also want to assure you that the words "babysitter" and "housewife" were
not references to female colleagues but to people who behave in a
particular way. These words, the way I intend to use them, should not be
interpreted as gender specific. Just like "nurse" can be both a man or a
woman. Actually, on purpose, I combined these words with the pronoun "He"
to indicate the metaphoric use. I also believe that associating these words
only with the female gender is due to stereotypes that people hold without
realizing that.
I apologize also that my previous post went too long. I will have that in
mind and will try to keep more succinct.
However, I am open for criticism and discussions on the topic itself.
Regards,
Lubomir
