I would like to make a honest open question to the list in regard to points
6, 11, 12, and 15:

Is there anyone who really thinks that advancing our understanding of what
design is does NOT improve our professional practice?
I know that there is nothing like 'riding the bicycle' but is it really
that useless to know more about the scientific bases of bike-riding (and
hence of motion, friction, inertia, balance, etc???)
