Adavances in Labiatae Science. pp. 437-454. Royal Bot. Gardens, Kew; and
also see the periodical Vegetation History and Archaeobotany which has an
index of all the plants and their references in recent articles.
At knossos (neolithic site in Crete) Labiatae have been found but I have not
yet worked out if they are Origanum.
