Applications are invited to join a team sharing responsibility for Clinical
Biochemistry for the people of Oxfordshire. You will be a registered
Clinical Scientist, have MRCPath or equivalent and possess the skills and
motivation to contribute to the development of our service provision to a
wide range of clinical specialties. In addition you will be keen to develop
an appropriate specialist interest. You will be able to demonstrate your
ability to participate in research and to contribute to teaching and
training.
We are an innovative and friendly departmental team. The main laboratory is
situated at the John Radcliffe Hospital site, has full CPA accreditation and
is well-equipped. There are also laboratories at the Churchill site and at
the Horton Hospital in Banbury. We offer a comprehensive service to five
acute hospitals in Oxfordshire, several community hospitals and to General
Practitioners across the county, with a catchment population in excess of
500,000. There are opportunities to develop links with the many clinical
departments of the University of Oxford located on the central Oxford
hospital sites. The NHS Department has close links with the Nuffield
Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences of the University of Oxford.
