medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
We looked at that scene in class last week - my
art-historian colleague is of the opinion that the thing
Odo carries is a commander's baton. Is it too
literal-minded to object that you can shed blood with a
club if you hit hard enough?
I have a research student currently working on Henry
Despenser, late c14 Bishop of Norwich, who put down the
Peasants' Revolt with great enthusiasm.
