It would be easier to type if I weren't snorting occasionally at the
thought of you being described as "an old fogey".
The book is a 1568 reprint, in Latin, of Usuardis' "List of Martyrs"
(saints) with a few added sections from other sources and the obligatory
Papal Approval page. From what I can puzzle out, not having read Latin for
about 25 years, there's also a cross-reference to things each saint is good
to pray to about, along with a calendar of saint's days.
It was printed in Paris while Molanus was a professor (is that the right
word for that time period?) at University.
