CUTG Publication Scholarships
The Conference has established a fund to support junior staff in any
area of German Studies at a university in Great Britain or Ireland
(within three years of their first appointment) - or those who are
not yet in post but have recently completed a doctorate at a
university in Great Britain or Ireland - who are in need of funds to
publish their doctoral thesis. The maximum sum available is £500, and
there are two application deadlines annually: 1 April and 1 November.
Applicants should already be in negotiation with a publisher, and
should send a letter outlining the proposed publication, together
with a summary CV, to the CUTG President:
Professor Rhys Williams
Department of German
University of Wales Swansea
Singleton Park
GB-Swansea SA2 8PP
(E-mail: [log in to unmask])
In addition, two references are required (from an internal supervisor
and an external supervisor, examiner or publisher's reader), and
applicants should ensure that these are submitted to the CUTG
President by the application deadline. Successful applicants will be
required to acknowledge the support of the CUTG in the resulting
publication.
