medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Can anyone out there help with the translation of latin from a 13th
century ordinary? There are a few phrases that I can't nail down.
For instance:
Directions for a procession make the reference "sicut in letaniis." Does
this refer to any litany? or to the Rogation days?
These directions also indicate that the priests should use "casulis
viridibus cum albis non paratis" -- What is this indication for the alb?
Thanks to all ~
