When our Web catalogue and self-service reservation facility went live
almost three years ago, we decided to hide records of titles on order. The
major reasoning was that just because an item was on order, it wasn't
necessarily ever going to be supplied - or even published.
I'd be interested in hearing from any authorities which have taken the
opposite view, and whether issues arise in practice as well as in theory.
I'd be particularly interested in hearing from other DS Galaxy users.
If I get sufficient replies I'll summarise them for the list.
Thanks, Chris
