Dear Friends
The UK Department for International Development (DfID) has funded the 'Just
Business' project for its first three years (April 1999-March 2002).
Based on the project's past success and future aims DfID agreed to fully
fund a further Year Four of the project (April 2002 - March 2003). They
also offered to provide 50% of the costs for Year Five of the project
(April 2003-March 2004), on condition that the other 50% of funding be
secured before March 2003. Thus far we have secured co-funding grants for
Year 5 of £17,500 (from the J.G. & V.L. Joffee Trust and the Esmee
Fairbairn Foundation).
However we still need to find necessary £20,825, which will enable the Just
Business project to continue.
Do you have any ideas for:
*socially responsable business to approach? or
*possible trusts/funds that support work looking at issues of economic
injustice, globalisation, business ethics, etc? or
*other ways to raise the money.
We would love to hear from you as without further funding the activites of
this project will have to cease.
Look forward to hearing from you
