Christopher,
The miracle is apparently mentioned by Guillaume le Breton in his
Philippide, but I haven't got around yet to looking it up there. It
is not included in either of the 13th-century miracle collections
from Chartres, the first of which dates from around the same time as
the Philippide. It is mentioned by a good many early modern
sources: Jean-Baptiste Souchet, _Histoire du diocese et de la ville
de Chartres_, vol. II (Chartres, 1868), p. 518 mentions it, but
refers to Isabelle as "Elisabeth"; Vincent Sablon, _Histoire et
description de l'eglise cathedrale de Chartres_, ed. L. Merlet
(1671; Chartres, 1860), p. 179; and Eugene Lepinois, _Histoire de
Chartres_, vol. I (Chartres, 1854), p. 114, both mention it but
mistakenly give the date as 1188. In the 1682 inventory of canon
Estienne, these four lamps surrounded the image of Notre-Dame du
Pilier in front of the jube.
