medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I only picked up on this thread today so I don't know if anyone has already
mentioned that the Orthodox still observe a fast before the Feast of the
Assumption. Much of what we in the West consider to be "medieval" was lost
during the Reformation but still can be found in contemporary Orthodox
practice.
