Colleagues who have (incomprehensibly!) hitherto lived in ignorance of the
Bear-of-very-little-brain may wish to note that there are marvellous Latin
versions of Milne's classics: *Winnie-Ille-Pu* and *Domus Anguli Puensis*.
They might be good for your student Latinists. I once invigilated a Latin
exam in which the paper offered an unseen translation from
*Winnie-Ille-Pu* - I was in stitches just watching the students' reactions.
You could tell who Had, and who Hadn't.
Regards,
Paul

At last, a question to Medieval Religion that I can answer. Winnie the Pooh
is the original bear of little brain. And if that still doesn't answer your
question, he's a wonderful character created by A.A. Milne and murdered by
Walt Disney.
