Interesting, as in my experience the average senior manager is unable to
cope with issues that the average A level Business student could comment
on, but the very last place they would look for advice on finance, human
resources, marketing, general management theory and structure, is the
Business Education department.

Subject: Re: Shortage of business and economics teachers
I have another theory as to why there is a shortage of Econ and Business
teachers. They have gained promotion to the leadership group and are
currently managing the curriculum, especially useful with their vocational
experience, and school budget. This is definitely the case at my school,
where both the Head and Deputy are Economists/ Business teachers.
