Post 1: Part Time Business Manager, Epidemiology & Public Health,

Based in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health you will
support the further development and expansion of the innovative
national UK Quality Indicator Project. The UK QIP is a branch of an
international quality indicator project for the healthcare sector
(the Centre for Performance Sciences (CPS) and Maryland Hospital
Association Quality Indicator Project - MHA QIP) and is expanding
rapidly in 2002 to bring on board the majority of the UK independent
hospitals sector. It involves collating and feeding back comparative
indicator data and support for quality improvement.
The Business Manager will ensure effective overall strategic and
human resource management of the UK QIP in order to support the
project in meeting participant's needs and aspirations for quality
improvement, through executive responsibility for the project.
