two --or a duology, with the main character a minor castelain from somewhere
around Troyes (?), who went Over-the-Seas as a young man and then, as an
aging, blind one (i think).
_The Cornerstone_ & _The World is Not Enough_, both of them rather common
(esp. the former, which was a U.S. Book-o-the-Month club selection).
there are two or three Albigensian novels as well, of which _Destiny of Fire_
is the best, most focused and powerful; and also, perversely, the hardest to
find --i've only seen one hardback copy and a half a dozen paperbacks in over
20 years in the business, and that means that it's a bit scarce.
