Gary Kass, Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, has asked me to
post this message as he is unable to send messages to public email lists.

The PSCI-COM list members might be interested in this site, launched today:
http://www.floodforum.net
It is an online discussion commissioned by POST, and run by the Hansard
Society to explore issues relted to the management of flooding.
It is another example of Parliament using the internet to seek out a wider
range of views and information than it normally achieves through its
traditional processes....just the sort of thing that the House of Commons
Modernisation Committee is thinking about at the moment, and in keeping with
the spirit of the House of Lords Science and Society report.
Participation by list members would be welcome (on the specific issue of
flooding, not on general science and society stuff), but I'd be happy to see
comments on PSCI-COM about the process.
best wishes
Gary
