Forced Migration Review (www.fmreview.org) is looking for papers for FMR15:
"Meeting the needs of displaced children"
We are particularly looking for articles focusing on how to:
- increase the participation of young displaced people in programme planning
and delivery
- meet the rights of refugee and IDP children to education, health, safety
and family unity
- identify the special protection needs of refugee and IDP children
- train humanitarian personnel on child protection and participation issues
- work with unaccompanied child refugees
- bring the special needs of internally displaced children to the attention
of policymakers
- strengthen respect for the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
- ensure that protection and assistance are mutually reinforcing
interventions
- promote mainstreaming of refugee and IDP children's issues into field
operations
- improve institutional and thematic coordination at field level
- promote inter-agency networking on issues affecting young displaced people
- encourage agencies to act on evaluation report recommendations regarding
their work with young people
Maximum length of articles (including endnotes): 3,000 words. (Shorter
articles preferred).
