Subject: A Dictionary of French Usage
Dear all,
I hope this isn't going to appear like an advert, which I promise it isn't
intended to be: please read it in the spirit of shared resources!
A friend has been made the executor of Donald Christie's estate. This
includes several hundred copies of A Dictionary of French Usage, published
in 1997, still boxed at the printers.
Don't worry if you're thinking who's Donald Christie or what's the
Dictionary of French Usage: I didn't know either, but I now have a personal
reference copy + it is v user friendly (aka idiot proof for the context in
which I work) + addresses (probably inadvertently) the requirement for a
more grammatical based content in NC 2000.
Anyway, I'd highly recommend it, and you'd be doing my friend a huge favour!
He won't refuse any reasonable offers.
If you're interested please drop me a line VIA THE FORUM as I've had to set
filters on my hotmail account to get rid of the junk (yes I'm one of those
saps who's still on hotmail!). If you'd rather not contact me via the forum,
please call me either at work 020 7701 4166 or on my mobile 077 404 74 175.
Best regards
Charles Claxton
