Dear AFLS members,
I am now in the process of updating the Research Inventory before
the next AFLS conference which will take place at St
Andrews next August-September 2002.
The last Inventory was carried out by Kate Beeching. Several
researchers, at the Louvain-La Neuve AFLS conference (2001)
showed great appreciation for the work she carried out for the last
Research Inventory 2000 as it allowed them to establish contact
with fellow researchers with similar interests.
If you wish to make any change to the entry you made in the last
Research inventory, please do so by filling in the Proforma that I
am attaching to this message.
You will also find attached the last Research Inventory 2000 to
remind you of the details you gave previously on your research.
I'll be extremely grateful if you would kindly respond before the 20th
MAY 2002. Please bear in mind that the information will have to
then be processed, compiled and distributed.
A national database of UK-based Research in Modern Languages is being
developed by Oxford Brookes University, the Centre for Information
on Language Teaching and Research and the Institutes of
Romance and Germanic Studies, University of London aiming to
facilitate collaboration and provide information on on-going research
in modern languages. We are keen to have good representation of the
research of AFLS members in this database so please indicate on the
Proforma whether you want you project details to be included in this
new database.
