Are there any participants getting requests for Amniotic Fluid levels of B2
microglobulin or electrolytes (PO4, Na, Cl, Ca, OSM and TProt)? If yes, are
you performing them in house or do you send out the specimens.
On a lighter note has anyone ever heard AF referred to as "Fetal Urine". The
same clinician that ordered the above described tests was the one that used
the term. To his defense, I have found references in the literature on the
B2M in AF but have not identified who does the assay or whether AF can be
treated similar to urine or serum for B2M and the other analytes.
