A colleague of mine, Linda O'Connell working on human osteological material
has asked if I would post the following two questions on the list for her.
If anyone can help please could they email their response to Linda herself

Linda's questions:
1) I have been told that prevalence rates for osteoarthritis in the
vertebral column, hip and knee are different between humans, other non-human
primates and quadrupeds. However, I am unable to find any references in
support of this statement in the human osteological/clinical literature.
Could anyone please help with providing such references from other
literature sources?
2) Could someone tell me what the equivalent age in a human would be, for
an 18 year old macaque?
Many thanks for any help. It's greatly appreciated.
Best wishes,
Linda.
