There are models, see Mason for instance
http://www.aln.org/alnweb/magazine/vol2_issue2/Masonfinal.htm but it does
not alter the fact that what has changed is the method of delivery. The same
course could be delivered in a classroom setting, by distance learning or
via a VLE, same content different delivery method. Hardly a philosphy
although that won't stop those at the centre from pushing it for all they
are worth, after all there are papers to write, books to sell .....
