Hi.
My name is Jose Ramada and I am developing a WAA system for my MSc thesys.
I will test this system in a scientific discipline, because it's easier to
create objective questions. I will develop this system alone but with the
colaboration of some teachers from the Department of Informatics.
Although, and before I begin, I would like to read some comments from
people that have developed similar systems. Comments about the first steps
to take when developing such a system OR what should be the "top rated"
attributes to include in such a system, like:
1. Overall functionality:
1.1.Ease of use
1.2.Platform independence
1.3.H/W requirements
2. Testing functionality:
2.1.Types of questions
2.2.Randomization of questions
2.3.Time limits
2.4.Feedback capabilities
2.5.Multimedia use
3. Tracking/Grading capabilities.
4. Security:
4.1.Username/pwd
4.2.Allowed IP networks
4.3.SSL
5. Question database:
5.1.Creation of quizzes in offline mode and posterior synchronization with
the online database
If someone could send me some more topics and subtopics or add/remove/alter
those described above it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jose Ramada
