Hiya,
I got sent something recently about a package called Scriptum that
allows students to submit wordprocessed or powerpoint files, stores
them, converts them to .pdf format which markers then comment and mark
using an acrobat writer. It does look good and I've got a demo set up
for me which, unfortunately, I haven't had the time to play with. I
don't know any costing details yet. I thought details were posted to
this mailing list, but it must have been another one I'm a member of.
The url is:
http://www.scriptum.ca
Click on 'demo' for a presentation of what it does.
Edinburgh University Medical School might also be worth contacting as
they've written an add-in to their VLE to enable students to submit
assessments to an on-line portfolio for marking.
Hope that helps,
Kelly
