Hello!
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a one off programme
of subsided workshops entitled 'Using the Internet for Learning and Teaching
for FE'
that Netskills are running in association with JISC in each region of the
UK.
This is a new workshop, which covers topics that are highly relevant and of
great interest to Further Education at the present time. These include
areas such as:
Virtual Learning Environments - use of, content structuring etc
Web Based Assessment - creation and use
Vocational examples of teaching and Learning using the Internet including
areas such as Basic Skills, Hairdressing, Mathematics, English Business
Studies, ICT and more
Creation of web based teaching materials
Accessibility issues and use of specialist tools
This is a one day, largely hands on workshop with a networked PC for each
participant, available at the specially reduced cost of 60 pounds, which
includes comprehensive workbook, lunch and refreshments.
This series of workshops will run once only in each region at this
specially reduced cost. Currently regional workshops for which bookings are
being taken are:
Northern Ireland (Lisburn) - Wednesday 13th March & Thursday 14th March 2002
London (Queen Mary and Westfield College)- Wednesday 17th April 2002
East Midlands (Mackworth) - Tuesday 23rd April 2002
South West (Bristol) - Tuesday 30th April 2002
Eastern (Cambridge) - Tuesday 21st May
