Problem Based Learning: Focus on Assessment
Wednesday 24th July 2002
Coventry Techno Centre
The aim of the conference is to share and discuss issues that surround
assessing PBL. International PBL leaders and developers, Maggi Savin-Baden
and Ranald Macdonald will engage with the central concerns and new thinking
on PBL assessment. An opportunity to work with others in cognate subject
areas, e.g. Nursing, Engineering etc. will enable participants to share
assessment strategies and practice. The National Teaching Fellow, Bill
Hutchings and his Research Assistant, Karen O'Rourke will offer insights
into how their students responded to PBL in English Literature at
Manchester University. There will be opportunity to raise issues and ask
questions of these leading experts.
The conference is aimed at LTSN staff, educational, curriculum and staff
developers, and academics interested in PBL assessment.
