MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
HALF DAY SYMPOSIUM
"Modern Gas Kinetics and Dynamics: New Methods and Results"
Department of Chemistry, University College, London
Wednesday 19th February 2003, beginning at 1.20 pm
This meeting, organised by the Gas Kinetics Group, Faraday Division,
Royal Society of Chemistry, is centred around the Harrison Memorial Prize
Lecture, to be given by Dr. Jonathan Reid, from the School of Chemical
Sciences, University of Birmingham. His lecture is entitled
"Beyond the Rainbow: The Spectroscopy and Dynamics of Water Droplets"
The lecture will be supported by three contributed talks on closely
related topics.
There will also be an invited talk by Professor Stephen Price, Department
of Chemistry, University College London, entitled "A new experiment to
study the mechanisms and dynamics of dication-neutral reactions". His
lecture will be supported by two contributed talks.
The full agenda will be circulated in the new year.
The scientific proceedings will be followed by an early evening Wine
Reception, hosted by the Royal Society of Chemistry, to which all are
invited.
There are no registration formalities. The meeting will be held in the
Chemistry Lecture Theatre, Department of Chemistry, University College
London.
