this does seem to be a problem, and I've missed some of the debate - but we
did a review of the issue of 'involving black and minority ethnic' "users"
in NHS research for the Standing Advisory Group on Consumers in NHS
Research (now renamed) a few years ago, and have got an electronic version
of that report which I hope should be available through our website (shortly
if not already) - or for a few pounds in hard copy for cost of reproduction
etc. It has a reasonable (if now slightly out of date) bibliography.
