Edgar Allan Poe's short story _William Wilson_, and the Villiers novel
_L'Eve Future_ spring to mind.
Several Star Trek episodes fit the bill, including (OST) "Mirror, Mirror"
and "The Enemy Within", also that whole Data/Lore thing from Next
Generation.
As for films (interpreted literally and tangentially):
The Man Who Haunted Himself
Face Off
Suture
Heat
Twins (well, sort of)
Any film with both Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci
I Was Monty's Double
Not much help I know, but...
