who was of course (and still is) patron saint of Oxford University. Lots
about her and her holy well at Binsey on Katy Jordan's Wells on the Web
site - at http://www.bath.ac.uk/~liskmj/wellsweb/wellsmsc/well1999.htm
There is some evidence for a cult of Frideswide in Wales: she crops up in
lists of saints used as comparisons and exemplars of virtue. This may
derive from former students who had come across her in Oxford. Does anyone
out there have any references to the scope of her cult and its possible
Welsh connection?
