Samson is not a frequent subject in medieval iconography, as best i can
recall, but there is, i *think*, a quite wonderful enamelled plaque devoted to
his suicide on Nicholas of Verdun's magnificent Klosterneuberg altarpiece (c.
1181?).
sorry, i don't seem to be able to find an image of it on the web, nor do
i recall what NT scene it might be paired with (if any).
nutz, i might be mare's nesting the whole false memory (not the first time,
alas).
best from here,
Christopher
