medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Does anyone have suggestions for what Johannis Beleth meant when he said
that a man who died fighting in a tournament and without having confessed
should be buried "in the manner of asses?" the Latin reads: Si in
I'd be grateful for any ideas you might have.
