Don't miss your chance to attend this popular two-day workshop:
Introduction to Management Skills
25 & 26 September, London
There are still some places available on this invaluable workshop which
offers a practical introduction to management, with emphasis on the key
areas of management that are of particular relevance within library and
information centres.
By the end of the event participants will have:
* built on their strengths and reviewed their weak points as a manager
* raised their awareness of their own and others' behaviour to improve
communication in management
* enhanced their practical management skills - including motivation,
leadership, team building, assertiveness and interpersonal skills
* shared ideas and experiences with others at a similar level
All sessions require a high level of involvement and participation, and
learning is by observation and reflection. Participants will be asked to
complete a questionnaire and to bring it with them to the workshop.
Who will benefit from attending?
Anyone with an interest in developing their management skills.
Participants will need at least two years of post-qualification experience
to benefit both their own learning and the learning of others.
