|Visiting Assistant Professor/Postdoctoral Associate in Geodynamics.
|Indiana University Department of Geological Sciences announces a
|one-year combined research and teaching position in the field of
|geodynamics. We are seeking a capable research scientist with
|interests in analysis of crustal deformation and lithosphere dynamics.
|The scientist will take part in a collaborative project on Western US
|geodynamics, and will have an opportunity to take part in field-based
|research projects in the Tien Shan, Philippines, and central U.S.
|Teaching responsibilities will include 2 courses per year.
|Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in geophysics or geodesy.
|Preference will be given to candidates with strong computational
|skills, experience with GPS data processing algorithms and/or modelling
|of crustal deformation, and willingness to participate in field work.
|The appointment is for one year, with reappointment subject to
|available funding. Salary is from $30,000 to $35000, commensurate with
